A memorial plaque to the Leningrad rock club was unveiled in St. Petersburg

A plaque in memory of a landmark place for St. Petersburg – the Leningrad Rock Club – was opened on Rubinshteina Street. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the city’s executive authorities, as well as fans of this genre of music.
Vice-Governor of the city Boris Piotrovsky in the Telegram channel shared details of the opening ceremony. He said that rock music fans from Moscow, Tula and Yekaterinburg were present at the gala event. The head of the United Russia party branch in St. Petersburg, Sergei Boyarsky, also took part in the opening of the board.
The Leningrad rock club opened its doors to visitors on March 7, 1981. During its work, popular groups performed on its site, including Kino, Nautilus Pompilius, Chaif, DDT and other groups. The author of the memorial plaque was an artist who decided not to reveal his name.
