The ban on the export of Russian fuel will be lifted until November 19 – Kommersant

Reuters, citing three oil industry sources, reported that the Russian government has notified fuel producers that the embargo on fuel exports will be lifted next week. One agency interlocutor said that the ban will be lifted on November 13, the second – that the decision to lift the restrictions will be made before November 19.

“They promised to lift the export ban next week. In connection with this promise, we have formed an export schedule and a refining plan,” said a source from a Russian oil company, who also wished to remain anonymous. The agency notes that due to the restrictions imposed, there is an oversupply of gasoline in the country.

A ban on the export of diesel fuel and gasoline was introduced on September 21. The export ban was introduced to stop the fuel crisis. On October 6, the government lifted some of the restrictions, allowing the export of diesel fuel.

November 8, Minister of Energy Nikolai Shulginov reported, that the government is discussing lifting restrictions on the export of all brands of gasoline up to AI-95. The Kirishinefteorgsintez plant, which belongs to Surgutneftegaz, has already published applications for the export of these brands of gasoline with shipment in mid-November, but, as Mr. Shulginov noted, the application has not yet been approved.
