Author of the book “The Boy’s Word. Criminal Tatarstan 1970–2010s” Robert Garayev announced that he had begun work on a new book. It will be about female criminal gangs.
“I won’t say exactly the timing, because it’s still a secret. Work is underway. Especially in the last week: I have a lot of new heroes, a lot of new information,” Mr. Garayev said at the presentation of the “Library Night 2024” event (broadcast by press center “Russia today”).
According to Robert Garayev, there remains “a lot of strange and incomprehensible things” about the topic of female criminal gangs. He clarified that their internal structure is very different from that which exists in male groups.
In November 2023, Zhora Kryzhovnikov’s series was released, based on the book by Robert Garayev, “The Boy’s Word. Blood on the asphalt.” The head of the online cinema Wink, Anton Volodkin, said that in three months more than 23 million people watched it. Against the backdrop of the popularity of the series, Mr. Garayev’s book, released in 2020, rose in second place in sales on the Liters service.
