The artists expressed their opinion about the mandatory propaganda teams in the NVO zone

Artists are not against supporting fighters in the trenches and in hospitals, but they consider this a voluntary matter

State Duma deputy from A Just Russia Dmitry Gusev today proposed sending artists from state theaters to propaganda teams on the front line. The relevant bill in Parliament may appear in the near future. The MK correspondent found out how the servants of Melpomene relate to this initiative.

As with any issue of public importance, opinions were divided about the prospect of transferring theaters to the “front rails”. This was to be expected, but it is alarming that the approval of the idea of ​​including artists in the propaganda teams working in the NWO area was voiced out loud, while those who oppose simply remained silent, fearing possible sanctions. (And thus left out of the brackets of this mini-survey).

Who spoke for?

For example, theater actor, writer, winner of the National Best Award Alexander Pelevin (on Telegram channels he is called “The Real Pelevin” to avoid confusion with the author of the novel “Generation P”) said the following:

– I support completely, but, of course, this business should be voluntary. It will be very correct, it is high time. In which case, he is ready.

Actor, director, fabulist, head of the Moscow Theater of Poets Vlad Malenko said that his team has been doing this for six months. “We go to hospitals, barracks, training grounds. I can talk about something in detail, about something it’s not worth it. This is work. Correct and necessary to people.

Dangerous? Well, life in general is dangerous. I remember how I traveled all over Chechnya during the second war, went on combat missions, and I was almost killed in Moscow on Pushkinskaya in the transition.

Probably, Claudia Shulzhenko or Raikin, who spoke to the fighters, was also not always comfortable. Why are you needed then? For girls in a nightclub to sing karaoke? – said Malenko. – Our trips are always different. Lots of fun. For some reason, I sleep better there than at home. After such meetings, I want to return again. The people there are cleaner and more generous. When you see a 21-year-old violinist girl in glasses in the neighboring art team, it somehow becomes more interesting. And my fables are great for the fighters …

In turn, a fairly balanced position was expressed by the director of the Lenkom Theater of Mark Zakharov, Mark Varshaver:

– We have people who themselves traveled, showed some excerpts to wounded soldiers in hospitals. They collected money and brought them the necessary things. They are Anton Shadin, People’s Artist of Russia Anton Sokolov, Honored Artist Andrey Leonov. But I think that it is wrong to force it to be done, it should be at the behest of the heart.

– Mark Borisovich, the creation of teams means that ten to fifteen people need to be taken from the theater. How will this affect normal operation?

– The one who comes up with this does not understand that then the theater should be closed and the teams should leave. We show the audience performances, sometimes two performances a day. If the team consists of two artists, this is one. But if it’s fifteen, it’s quite different…

– During the Great Patriotic War, theaters switched to the front-line format of activity. How is the situation different then and now?

– Now there is no war. What is it called, do you remember? Special operation!

If it’s not a war, but a special operation, then there are a number of people who can and are obliged to participate in it – according to their health and some other parameters. But life goes on. Theaters are open! They must carry out their main mission – to support civilians remaining in Moscow and St. Petersburg, to instill in them the spirit of love for the motherland and patriotism. This is also not an easy task.
