The total volume of advertising in the means of its distribution (video, audio, publishing business, Out of Home, Internet services) at the end of 2023 increased year-on-year by 30% and amounted to 731 billion rubles, calculated by the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (AKAR) .
The volume of the video segment (TV + Online video) grew last year by 20% compared to 2022 and amounted to 231.5 billion rubles. Audio – by 32%, to 20.2 billion rubles, of which 19.5 billion rubles – radio. The publishing business category increased its figures by 10%, to RUB 25.4 billion. The Out of Home segment (advertising outside the home) grew by 41% and amounted to RUB 67.1 billion. In particular, the volume of the outdoor advertising market in 2023 increased by 38%, to 57.7 billion rubles. The last category – Internet services – also showed growth: by 37% (RUB 386.6 billion).
“The total volume of the Russian marketing communications market in 2023 turned out to be approximately 1.7 trillion rubles, which is actually a third more than it was a year ago,” AKAR indicated.
