The Arbitration Court of the Tyumen Region decided to seize the accounts of the Armenian aircraft maintenance company Aquila Technics LLC in the amount of almost 176 million rubles. and $1.5 million in a claim by the Russian airline Utair for undelivered engines. The court documents say that on May 30, 2022, Utair and Aquila Technics LLC entered into an agreement to supply engines to Tyumen airport for the airline’s aircraft. However, it follows from the statement that the Armenian company did not deliver within the specified period and did not return the money received for the engines. At the beginning of October 2023, Utair went to court.
“The court considers that the interim measures requested by the applicant are related to the subject of the stated claim, are proportionate to it, and will not entail an imbalance of interests of the parties. The court determined: to seize funds located in bank accounts (including in the form of future income) and/or other movable and/or immovable property of Aquila Technics LLC, within the price of the claim,” the court’s ruling says (.pdf).
Aquila Technics LLC is based at Yerevan Zvartnots Airport. The company services Boeing 737CL and Airbus A320 aircraft from Air Armenia, Air Arabia, FlyDubai, Aegean, Qatar Airways.
