Tesla premium software prices to rise to $15,000 this fall

Tesla plans to increase the price of the premium option of full autonomous driving (Full Self-Driving, FSD) by 25% from September 5, about this informed Elon Musk, founder and CEO of the company. Prior to the upgrade, customers will be able to purchase this option for $12,000 and subscriptions for $199 per month.
“Following the wide-scale release of FSD 10.69.2 beta, the price of FSD will rise to $15,000 in North America on September 5th. The current price will be available for orders placed before this date but delivered later. At the same time, it is not specified whether the prices for FSD by subscription will be increased. CNBC TV channel sent Tesla’s request to see if the subscription price will change, but the company did not provide an immediate comment.
According to CNBC, the electric vehicle maker will also release FSD 10.69.1 beta in late August, which will allow 10,000 drivers to test the new features of the system on public roads before they are fully operational, and a week later, beta 10.69.2, which will available to the rest of the clients. At Tesla’s Aug. 4 annual shareholder meeting, Musk said the FSD beta will be available to anyone who requests it by the end of this year.
It is clarified that all new Tesla cars are equipped with a standard package of driver assistance features – Autopilot software, which, using the cruise control function, keeps the car in the center of the lane and respects the speed of traffic. The premium FSD software includes, among other things, traffic control functions and autopilot navigation, with the help of this software, speed control is carried out before road signs and signals, and the software allows the car to rebuild and turn on the turn signals for the driver.
Despite this, Tesla is urging drivers to remain vigilant and be ready to take over driving and braking at a moment’s notice as the technology does not make Tesla vehicles fully autonomous, the company stresses.
