Tesla is looking for a specialist in Scandinavia to resolve conflict with trade unions

Tesla Company looking for specialist in “public policy and business management in Scandinavia” to resolve a long-running conflict with contractor unions in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
The beginning in October, a strike by Swedish workers, members of the industrial union IF Metall, demanding higher wages and a revision of the labor contract with Tesla, two weeks later supported employees of the Swedish postal service who boycotted the shipment of components for Tesla cars. Elon Musk called it “madness” and sued the Swedish Transport Agency at the end of November. Tesla is known for prohibiting unionization at its factories around the world. Company founder Elon Musk has repeatedly spoken out against unions.
A few days later the Swedish workers supported the Danish dockers’ union 3F and Norwegian dockers who refused to supply Tesla electric vehicles to Sweden. In early December, the Stockholm District Court sided with the Swedish government in a dispute with Tesla.
Court decidedthat the postal service is not obligated to comply with the American company’s request and resume sending license plates produced in the country for Tesla cars. And last week, the Swedish transport workers’ union said it would join the protest against Tesla and stop disposing of industrial waste from the American company’s local plants.
In an interview with a TV channel CNBC Managing Director of the investment company Wedbush Securities Dan Ives has already compared the confrontation between Tesla and trade unions in the Scandinavian countries with a war and expressed concern that such a situation could soon give rise to political risks for the American company.
