STLC agreed with Yakutia Airlines on debt settlement

The State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) signed an agreement with Yakutia Airlines to settle part of its receivables until 2026. As of June, the debt amounted to about 1.2 billion rubles.
As reported in press release State Transport Leasing Company, during the current year, Yakutia repaid the debt on leasing payments to the leasing companies for four SSJ100 aircraft. In total, the airline paid about 2 billion rubles, the report notes.
At the end of 2022, STLC planned to terminate lease agreements with Yakutia Airlines for two Superjet 100s that were idle due to a malfunction. By that time, the airline’s debt to STLC had reached 1.6 billion rubles. The bulk of these funds are debts for aircraft leases and insurance reserves. From the beginning of 2023 until June, part of the debt was repaid.
State Transport Leasing Company noted that in February 2023, Yakutia Airlines restored and flew one of the Superjet 100s. The second aircraft, which is still in a faulty condition, will be purchased by the airline. The first tranche under this agreement in the amount of 323 million rubles. GTLK has already received it.
