To get out of the top of this debate, the new parliamentarian therefore proposes the creation of a fund for ecological transition, fed by contributions negotiated with large groups. “The objective is to remain as much as possible in a logic of negotiations and voluntary contributions, without calling into question the imperative of fiscal stability in France. This fund would finance the needs of the ecological transition, such as the electrification of quays in ports or energy renovation, at a time when public finances are more constrained, ”he explains.
Clearly, no tax, but contributions which would amount to a total of billions of euros and earmarked in favor of the climate. “A position of balance”, as summed up by Pierre Cazeneuve.
The proposal must be worked on in the coming days, and submitted to Bruno Le Maire. For what fate? Between private jet controversies and watering the golf courses, the majority is preparing for the start of the school year “for a rise in a very class struggle discourse through the prism of the climate”, according to one of its members. “We must not go into this logic, it will never be enough for the opposition,” said an executive official.
