The scandal around the “alcoholism” of the actress got a new twist
It all started with a lot of excitement. On January 4, Tatyana Kravchenko was supposed to play in St. Petersburg, but she did not appear either at the run-through or at the beginning of the performance. As a result, she was hastily replaced by another actress – Zoya Buryak. “Kravchenko disappointed, without arriving, people left the hall during the performance. But Sadalsky is a good fellow – he pulled everything out! And Zoya Buryak, who replaced Tatyana! As far as I understood, the actors played impromptu, and there were not even dress rehearsals, ”wrote one of the spectators who happened to be at the performance.
Colleagues and fans of Tatyana Kravchenko raised the alarm: what if an accident? We went to her, even tried to break down the door. As a result, the actress’s partner in the play, Stanislav Sadalsky, shed light on what had happened. According to him, Tatyana Kravchenko could not move away from alcoholic libations, and therefore did not go on stage: “Alcohol clouded the mind of the great artist.” He called her act “disgraceful.”
However, on January 5, Kravchenko already played in another performance, and everything went perfectly. Alexander Pankratov-Cherny, who that day went on stage with the actress in the production of Grooms, called Sadalsky a bully and brawler, Kravchenko a disciplined actress, and words about alcoholic libations were slander.
The director of Lenkom, Mark Varshaver, also hastened to intercede for the actress, calling Sadalsky’s accusations “pure lies”, and promised to sue the actor. “Sadalsky got excited. Why does he allow such insults against the great actress? Envy! ”, – said the director of Lenkom to MK.
Throughout the New Year holidays, Kravchenko’s failure and Sadalsky’s statement were vigorously discussed in the media, but only now the actress herself gathered her strength to answer her partner in the play, whom she called her “former colleague” (“Former, because for me the concepts of “artist”, “acting brotherhood”, “ethics” are not empty words”).
Here is her comment: “In recent days, hundreds, I didn’t make a reservation, hundreds of online Internet publications have poured out a tub of slops. First, quoting the New Year’s text by the artist Sadalsky that the actress of our theater Alexandra Zakharov was fired, and other insulting nonsense regarding the head of Lenkom Mark Zakharov, whom I have known and respected for more than forty years. After that, I really decided not to go on stage with the artist Sadalsky in a private performance, which I immediately informed the administrator about.
Another actress was brought in instead of me. And, although the role is not so significant, I probably let down, first of all, my audience, who were waiting for me and to whom I am immensely grateful for their love and support. But how can you go on stage with a person who allows himself offensive and unsubstantiated statements in the media about famous and respected people with whom I work and for whom I am grateful?
Sadalsky’s further actions confirmed the correctness of my decision. The replication of myths about my alcohol addiction is disgusting. For all the time of my long acting career in theater and cinema, I have not disrupted a single rehearsal, not a single performance, not a single shooting. In Lenkom, this was generally impossible; artists for such misconduct were fired by Mark Anatolyevich Zakharov immediately. And today, I assure you, there is an iron discipline in the theater. I don’t even want to comment and characterize Sadalsky himself and stoop to his level.”
It turns out that Tatyana Kravchenko did not take the stage on January 4, because she did not want to play with Sadalsky. So this is a fundamental decision. However, why then did her statement appear not before the emergency replacement in the enterprise, but only now?
