A journalist asked Tarantino if The Movie Critic would really be the last film he directed. “Yes, it’s just that I’m not motivated to make more films anymore,” the creator of Pulp Fiction replied to this. He asked what cinema means today: is it what the audience sees on TV or on the movie screen, is it broadcast in the cinema for two weeks and then on the platforms? Tarantino said that he was skeptical about the fate of his tape. “I don’t think it will happen with The Film Critic, but it can happen,” Tarantino explained. – And I do not like it”.

In his interview, the American director also revealed that he created an “extended version” in the form of The Hateful Eight series for Netflix. In addition, Tarantino also plans to create “some kind of show” for television, which could then be turned into a series.

“But this is something that has nothing to do with cinema,” Tarantino said. “Besides, I want to spend more time with my family.”

The American director is considered one of the most prominent representatives of postmodernism in independent cinema. Widespread fame came to him in 1994 after the release of the film “Pulp Fiction” (Pulp Fiction), in which he acted in two roles at once – both as a director and as a screenwriter. The author invested $ 8 million in the creation of the tape, and the film grossed $ 100 million at the box office. The film also received the main prize of the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar for the original screenplay and several other film awards.
