Swiss bank Julius Baer warned Russian clients about closing accounts

The Swiss bank Julius Baer has begun informing Russian clients about the closure of accounts. About this with reference to a letter from the bank reported consulting company Main Partner Trust in its Telegram channel.
Forbes with a link to a copy of the letter clarifiesthat business relations with the bank’s customers are planned to be terminated by December 31. In Julius Baer, this decision was explained by “current circumstances and developing restrictions”, since in these conditions the bank cannot offer services that meet the organization’s standards.
The letter states that all agreements and contracts will be terminated from September 30, the bank will only provide a limited range of services. At the same time, from August 1, Julius Baer will introduce several additional commissions.
In May Main Partner Trust informedthat the bank stops making payments in rubles. Later, Julius Baer sent “segregated securities accounting” notices to its Russian clients.
