Experimental Design Bureau “Sukhoi” (part of UAC State Corporation “Rostec”) for the first time showed a model of an experimental unmanned transport aircraft off-airfield based RA-00076. The drone model was presented at the Aeronet 2035 exhibition, Vedomosti correspondent reports.
The weight of the product itself will be 10 kg, and its dimensions – 27x73x110 cm, indicated in the project passport, which can be found by pointing the phone camera at the QR code near the product. The description also states that the share of Russian components in the product is 90%. The production status is experimental, the segment is aircraft type, the certificate says.
The product was developed in the interests of the Russian Post, said a source close to UAC. According to him, the drone is of a hybrid type: “It combines the qualities of a helicopter on takeoff, but flies like an airplane.”
So far, this is only a mock-up, and Rostec will show the current sample in full size in 2023, a representative of the state corporation told Vedomosti. “It’s too early to talk about its real characteristics and capabilities, but believe me, it will be an impressive car in every respect,” he said. Russian Post declined to comment.
The Sukhoi Design Bureau is one of the leading Russian aviation design bureaus, which has created, among other things, the fifth-generation fighter PAK FA (SU-57) and the Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger aircraft. Since June this year, it has been a separate division of PJSC “UAC“. CEO UAC is Yuri Slyusar. At the end of 2021, the net loss of UAC amounted to 30 billion rubles, follows from the SPARK database. Last year, the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said that UAC owes 327 billion rubles to banks.
The exhibition of domestic unmanned aerial vehicles and systems Aeronet 2035 opened in Moscow at VDNKh on November 17. It is attended by 130 companies that will demonstrate 170 developments.
