STLC to recall 16 helicopters from Russian Helicopter Systems due to debt

State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) notified Russian Helicopter Systems (RVS) of its decision to terminate the contract for 16 helicopters ahead of schedule due to a debt of 1 billion rubles, the press service of the STLC reported.
“STLC has decided to early terminate the contracts for 16 helicopters previously transferred to Russian Helicopter Systems, after which the aircraft will be withdrawn and transferred to other lessees,” leads TASS message.
IN STLC noted that the debt of the RVS on overdue lease payments exceeded 300 million rubles, and under the settlement agreements approved by the court – 660 million rubles. The leasing company also said that in mid-August they held negotiations with the management of the RVS in connection with this situation, but the client took a “non-constructive position”, without providing any proposals for resolving the debt.
Russian Helicopter Systems allegedly continued to violate the terms of leasing agreements, in particular, they overtook two helicopters to Turkey. Earlier, in August, Rosaviatsiya revoked the license for the maintenance of aviation equipment from the RVS, added to STLC.
