Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrey Belousov said that the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) will become the consolidator of the civil state order for unmanned products. He said that about 70 companies in the Russian Federation already produce unmanned systems, 20 of them are large.

According to Mr. Belousov, the national project on unmanned systems consists of five parts, the first of which is devoted to the consolidation of demand for UAVs. Manufacturers need to create a guaranteed demand within the framework of the state order, first of all from the federal authorities, and secondly from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, he noted.

“GTLK will be the consolidator of this demand through the state civil order, we will work in one window, already STLC will work with manufacturers, form lines of finished products, work with operators,” said the Deputy Prime Minister at the intensive “Archipelago-2023” in Novosibirsk (quote By TASS).

Mr. Belousov said that yesterday, August 5, all federal authorities reached a consensus on the use of drones in 12 regions of Russia as part of a legal experiment. He expressed hope that in the future the UAV could be used to detect the source of the fire.

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that in 2024 it is planned to produce about 18 thousand large and medium-sized drones, excluding UAVs weighing less than 1 kg.

At the beginning of July, Mr. Belousov instructed regional authorities to develop programs for the development of unmanned aerial systems. Expectedthat by the end of the year a program to legalize the use of drones will be created. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency are preparing to bring drones out of the gray zone.
