MS-21 is a medium-haul passenger aircraft with a capacity of 163 to 211 passengers. The project has been running since 2007. Serial production is scheduled for 2024. Until 2030, it is planned to produce about 270 liners.
In November the government singled out 15 billion rubles to expand the production of MS-21. The first batch of necessary equipment should be contracted this year, the rest – within the next three years. The authorities also will spend about 44 billion rubles. for the production of aircraft engines, including for the 14 PD-14 engine, which is designed for the MS-21.
