From January to November, Russian wineries increased the production of still wines by 10.8%, to 30.2 million decalitres in annual terms. The production of champagne and sparkling wines grew the most – by 25.4%, to 14.1 million decaliters, Interfax reports with reference to Rosalkogolregulirovanie.
According to the agency, the production of fruit (fruit) wines remained at the level of last year – 9.8 million decaliters, liqueur – increased five times, from 173.4 thousand last year to 949.4 thousand decaliters.
For 11 months, alcohol enterprises increased the production of vodka by 5.3%, to 75.5 million deciliters (dal), and cognac – by 13.4%, to 8.1 million decalitres. Also, the production of alcoholic beverages with a strength above 9 degrees increased by 9.7%, to 103.5 million decalitres.
In total, during the reporting period, 179.7 million deciliters of alcoholic products were produced (except for beer, beer drinks, cider, poiret and mead). This is 9.7% more than a year ago. The production of low-alcohol drinks also increased in January-November – by 28.6%, to 17.1 million decalitres.
In October, the production of liqueur wines also grew the most – by 450%, reported Rosalkogolregulirovanie. The Russian wine market also began to take shape new subcategory – orange wines produced by fermentation of grape juice with skin and seeds. Because of the sanctions, Russian alcohol companies are forced to look for new development options abroad.
