State Expertise has approved construction at NOVATEK’s Geophysical field

Glavgosexpertiza of Russia approved the construction of production sites at the Geophysical oil and gas condensate field (NGMC) on the Gydan Peninsula, reported press service of the department. The field is the resource base for the NOVATEK project (MOEX: NVTK) Arctic LNG-1.
The geophysical oil and gas condensate field was discovered in 1975 on the Gydan Peninsula, on the coast of the Ob Bay. The projected field development site is located in the Tazovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“The project for the next stage of development of the Geofizicheskoye field includes the construction of ten well clusters, as well as the placement of gas pipeline routes through which the wells’ products will be delivered to the integrated gas treatment unit (CGTU),” the message quoted the words of the chief expert of the project, Evgeniy Ryabchikov.
The new gas production site will also include methanol pipelines, fiber optic communication lines, 10 kV overhead lines, and other necessary structures and communications. Inter-site roads will be built to access the well clusters, the report said.
The developer is ARCTIC LNG 1 LLC (a subsidiary of NOVATEK). The general designer is NOVATEK Scientific and Technical Center LLC.
