Startup Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus, which makes an electric manufactured goods van based on UAZ Profi, is planning a second round of investments. This was reported to Vedomosti by two sources close to the negotiators. Among the possible options are both entry into the capital and the provision of leverage. In the case of entering the capital of Electromobili Manufacturing Rus, the investor can receive about 10-15% of the company, one of the interlocutors knows.
Among the possible contenders is one of the former structures of VTB, two interlocutors said. But there are other potential investors, as well as the opportunity to get a soft loan from the Industrial Development Fund, emphasizes one of them. A spokesman for Electric Vehicles declined to comment. A VTB spokesman said the bank itself is not considering investing in or financing the start-up Electric Vehicles Manufacturing Rus. He declined to comment on the activities of the former VTB structures. Vedomosti sent questions to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
