Starting October 6, the St. Petersburg Exchange will allow five more international exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to trade in securities. Transactions with such instruments are available only to qualified investors.
From press release exchange it follows that we are talking about iShares Gold Trust, First Trust Nasdaq Cybersecurity ETF, iShares US Real Estate ETF, Invesco BuyBack Achievers ETF, ARK Fintech Innovation ETF. The total number of ETFs at auction will increase to 200.
The funds allow you to invest in market sectors such as gold, real estate, cybersecurity, financial technology, and companies that buy back their shares.
SPB Exchange launched trading in securities of international ETFs in November 2022. At that time, investors had access to 115 funds, then their number gradually increased. In August of this year, the St. Petersburg Exchange added 11 international ETFs, including margin ones.
In July, the exchange began trading in eight Hong Kong-listed ETFs available to non-qualified investors. By data trading on the St. Petersburg Exchange, in September the value of transactions with ETF securities amounted to $199.73 million, including $10.35 million in Hong Kong ETFs.
