“SPB Exchange distributed the above funds in foreign currency among trading participants in proportion to the volume and type of foreign currencies that are in the clearing accounts of trading participants. Clients of trading participants will be able to withdraw these funds only in rubles, since the St. Petersburg Exchange currently does not allow settlements in foreign currencies,” the message said.

The remaining foreign assets will be temporarily transferred to non-trading accounts, as the St. Petersburg Exchange noted that it cannot make settlements on these assets. According to the exchange, foreign counterparties continue the legal procedures necessary to comply with the requirements of the new legislation. It is expected that on December 4, foreign counterparties will submit their conclusion with an action plan for unlocking assets.
