Sochi resorts have been visited by 6 million people since the beginning of 2023 – Kommersant
Since the beginning of 2023, 6 million people have visited Sochi resorts. By the end of the year, the city plans to welcome about 7.4 million tourists, said Sochi Mayor Alexey Kopaygorodsky. According to him, the tourist flow increased by 3% compared to last year. In 2022, 7.2 million tourists arrived in Sochi.
“By the end of the year, we plan to increase the record figures of 2022 and welcome about 7.4 million people,” said Mr. Kopaygorodsky, as quoted by press service city administration.
Today there are 190 thousand tourists in Sochi. The volume of services of the Sochi resort and tourism complex since the beginning of this year amounted to 38.1 billion rubles, which is 17% more than the same period last year.
As the press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration reported, since the beginning of 2023, the tourist flow to the region has amounted to 13.4 million people. Over the summer, the region's resorts received 9.7 million tourists.
