Over the year, snow removal in the courtyards of residential buildings and commercial buildings in Moscow and the Moscow region has risen in price by 15-30%. Representatives of management companies told RIA Real Estate about this. The price increase was influenced by a shortage of wipers, as well as rising prices for fuel and equipment maintenance.
“In 2023, the cost of snow removal by contractors in the courtyards of residential buildings in Moscow increased by 15-25%. This was influenced by several factors at once, for example, an increase in the cost of fuel and maintenance of special equipment, as well as an increase in drivers’ wages,” the press service of the management company PIK-Comfort told the agency.
According to the general director of the management company CMWP Denis Trotsenko, prices for snow removal have increased, including due to a shortage of wipers and an increase in the cost of their work. Thus, over the year, the salary of a janitor in Moscow increased by about a quarter – from 55 to 70 thousand rubles. Among other reasons, Denis Trotsenko names the permanent rise in prices of fuels, lubricants and consumables, which have already increased in price by 18-20%, as well as an increase in the salaries of cleaning workers.
As Mikhail Safonov, development director of the management company NF PM, said, the cost of snow removal on commercial real estate has increased by 20-30% on average in the market over the year. He noted that such price increases are typical for situations where the contractor does not change. If there is a change of contractor, the cost of work can increase by 60%.
According to October platform research “Avito work”, the demand for janitors in Russia increased 1.5 times, and salary offers for them increased by 20%, to 32.4 thousand rubles. Last January in the State Duma stated about a shortage of 30–50% of janitors in Moscow. Deputies proposed giving them service apartments, as was the case in the USSR.
