Smartphone exports from China almost recovered to pre-crisis levels

In July, smartphone exports from China grew by 77% compared to last month and almost rose to pre-crisis levels. This is the highest result since the beginning of the military special operation in Ukraine. This is reported RBC with reference to Chinese customs data.
The volume of exports of smartphones from China to Russia in July amounted to $312 million, which is 77% more than in the previous month, but 29% less than in the same period in 2021.
In January and February, exports of smartphones from China showed strong figures – $657.6 million and $424.9 million, respectively. In the spring, the figure dropped sharply, falling to $151.4 million by May.
China is the largest supplier of smartphones to Russia. In 2021, the volume of exports from there amounted to $5.387 billion.
