Entrepreneurs from small and medium-sized businesses with VTB acquiring (MOEX: VTBR) accepted about 1 billion payments in 2023, the bank’s press service reported. Payments through the Faster Payment System (FPS) have more than tripled in a year. The share of Mir cards in the total acquiring turnover for cards increased 1.5 times and amounted to 58%.
The greatest increase in demand for VTB acquiring was recorded in the field of entertainment and recreation (17.5%), public catering (17%), auto goods and services (8%) and healthcare (5.5%), said the head of the department of analysis, coordination and grocery Development—Senior Vice President of VTB Yulia Kopytova.
The number of small and medium-sized business clients who accept payments through SBP increased by 3.6 times. The share of payments using SBP in the total acquiring turnover increased by 3.5 times, and turnover by more than three times. “We are preparing several new services based on SBP for clients to more effectively use the capabilities of the system, for example, B2B and B2C transfers, new scenarios for accepting payments using QR codes,” says Ms. Kopytova’s statement, which is quoted in a VTB press release .
