Sitronics Group acquired 25% of the Perm Shipyard company – Kommersant

Sitronics Group (part of the AFK Sistema group; MOEX: AFKS) acquired from the Perm Region Development Fund (FRDC) a 25 percent stake in the Perm Shipyard company as part of the development of the industry, including electric shipbuilding. The agreement also provides for a possible increase in the share of ownership of the enterprise to 100%, reported FRPC.
The deal was concluded as part of an agreement on investment in the development of the Perm Shipyard between FRPC and Sitronics Group, signed in June as part of SPIEF-2023. Sitronics Group plans to invest funds in the Perm Shipyard, which will be used to reconstruct and modernize the enterprise’s production facilities.
“The Perm Shipyard has a long history and is already involved in the construction of stopping berthing complexes for electric vessels. The development of the shipyard with our participation will meet the growing demand for pleasure and cruise electric vessels, including from customers in the Ural and Volga regions,” commented Sitronics Group President Nikolay Pozhidaev on the acquisition of the share.
The Perm Shipyard is the only shipbuilding enterprise in the Urals. One of the key projects of the Perm Shipyard is the creation of innovative stopping complexes for electric ships. As part of the concluded contracts, the Perm Shipyard will manufacture and supply 19 objects that will be installed on the Moscow River by the end of 2023.
