Shaman found a new image for the “Live” video
32-year-old singer Yaroslav Dronov, better known by his stage name Shaman, released a new video for the song “Alive”, in which he appeared in the image of a prisoner going to execution.
As the musician’s press service reported, the song is dedicated to “everyone who suffered for the truth.” The track will appear on popular online music platforms tonight on Epiphany. And on platform Youtube on the artist’s page, the video clip is already available for viewing.
The video plays on biblical motifs. First, the crowd pushes and spits on the prisoner who is being led to execution, then throws stones at him, and then the young man is given over to be torn to pieces. However, at the end of the video, the hero, who has not renounced his beliefs, appears revived and puts on the cross that had fallen earlier.
Shaman himself believes that this is a story out of time, it could have happened in antiquity, in the Middle Ages, or will only happen in the future, or maybe “happening somewhere right now.”
The performer acted not only as the author of the music and lyrics, but also as the author of the video script. And the filming took place in a giant concrete storage facility at a depth of tens of meters near Moscow.
