Energy companies must launch their branches in new regions “as soon as possible.” About it declared Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov following a meeting with Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

“Companies must complete preparations as soon as possible and launch full-fledged work of branches in new regions to restore damaged infrastructure and ensure stable energy supply to consumers,” the minister said, his words are quoted by the press service of the department.

Shulginov also noted that the work on the restoration and development of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) in four regions should be simultaneously aimed at preparing for the upcoming autumn-winter period. “Repair and restoration of 69 electric grid infrastructure facilities and 86 gas infrastructure facilities, supply of equipment and materials to replenish the emergency reserve and 37 units of special equipment are planned,” he said.

On April 5, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin during a meeting with members of the Security Council declaredthat 4,000 energy facilities were restored on the territory of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the main task was to provide people with electricity, gas and heating.

On the night of June 6, there was a breakthrough of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, as a result of which an uncontrolled discharge of water began. The elevation of the Dnieper River was about 11 m. Initially, the emergency regime was introduced in the Novokakhovsk urban district, and later it spread to the entire Kherson region. On June 7, the district administration reported that the water level in Novaya Kakhovka began to decline after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
