Shebekinskaya pasta factory will resume work on July 1 – Kommersant

Russian Human Rights Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said a pasta factory in the town of Shebekino, Belgorod Region, would resume operations on July 1.

“The pasta factory is really preparing to launch from July 1, they supply water, they launch the enterprise. Some enterprises are already starting to work, but it is necessary to create conditions for the return of people (from evacuation.— “b”), make sure it’s safe there,” said Ms. Moskalkova during the reception of residents of the Belgorod region at a temporary accommodation center in the Zaoksky district of the Tula region (quoted from TASS).

June 2 Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov declaredthat as a result of the shelling of Shebekino, ten enterprises were damaged, the restoration of which requires about 13 billion rubles. However, he did not specify which objects were affected.

Since the beginning of June, the city of Shebekino has been under regular shelling from Ukraine. Residents massively left the city: on June 12 in Belgorod temporary accommodation centers was more than 6 thousand people.

On June 20, Mr. Gladkov visited Shebekino together with Mrs. Moskalkova. The city is carrying out a large-scale work on damage assessment: previously reportedthat more than 700 private and 113 apartment buildings were damaged. The authorities have already begun restoration work and hope to return people to their homes by the fall if possible.
