Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed Sergei Kuchushev to the post of Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications. Order government published on the Internet portal of legal information.

The Ministry of Digital Development reported that the new deputy minister will oversee state policy in the development of the information technology industry. His responsibilities will include developing a digital transformation strategy, government policy on the transition of government agencies to domestic solutions, accreditation of IT companies, as well as tasks related to the development of Russian software.

Before his appointment to the position in the ministry, Mr. Kuchushev was the director of government relations at the investment holding Vostok Investments. Before that, he worked for Yandex and Ozon.

On October 31, Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree dismissing Deputy Minister of Digitalization Dmitry Oguryaev from his post. To his post appointed Director of the Department for Development of Electronic Government Infrastructure Sergei Tsvetkov.
