Sber has developed its own software for installing an application aggregator of Russian banking programs SBOL on iPhone, writes Vedomosti. However, to install an application twice blocked in the App Store, you need to give a bank employee access to the phone.
The software was called Sberbank Installer iOS, bank representatives said. The company noted that the application for access to Sberbank services is installed using proprietary technology. The service is provided free of charge in almost 5,000 bank offices throughout Russia.
According to the newspaper, a separate specialist is responsible for installing SBOL, whose laptop is connected to the user’s smartphone via a cable. After that, “Apple sends official permission to the device in the form of a six-digit code” and the application from the laptop is installed on the phone, the employee of the bank office explained.
