In local chain stores, such as Magnit and Pyaterochka, according to RIA Novosti, a dozen first-category chicken eggs cost 120 rubles.
In November, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut held a meeting on stabilizing prices on the poultry market. At the meeting, FAS representatives noted a significant increase in prices for poultry meat since May 2023.
Due to rising prices for chicken, the standard set of products for the New Year’s table has also become more expensive. According to the Rusprodsoyuz association, by the end of the year eggs became more expensive by 25%. Today, December 4, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko instructed The Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to take measures by December 19 that will increase the production of chicken meat and chicken eggs
