The leaders of the market remained Vkusvill (turnover in the third quarter amounted to 20.8 billion rubles) and Sbermarket (20.1 billion rubles).
At the same time, according to the results of 9 months of 2022, TOP3 did not change. Sbermarket retained the first line with a total turnover of 68.6 billion rubles. (with VAT and without promo). The second place belongs to Vkusvill (63 billion rubles) and X5 Group services – Perekrestok Vprok, Perekrestok.Bystro and Pyaterochka.Dostavka (52.5 billion rubles). All of them confirmed Infoline estimates. And only a representative of “Scooter” declined to comment, saying that the company does not disclose such data.
After a rather significant decrease in the number of orders in the second quarter, Samokat adapted its assortment and pricing, expanded its private label portfolio and launched its own direct import, which made it possible to demonstrate acceleration in the next three months, explains Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline Analytics . As a result, according to him, the company delivered a record 10.5 million orders in August. He believes that having gained access to financing after the transition to the Sber ecosystem, the company will continue its active development, but the expert does not expect a merger with Sbermarket, because. they are very different businesses.
Infoline also revised its forecast for the growth of the online food and essential goods market from RUB 800 billion to RUB 600-620 billion, Burmistrov said. He clarified that, most likely, the turnover of this segment will be closer to the lower limit of the range, which is explained by the worsening economic situation.
