Sales of VTB bonds (MOEX: VTBR) with the yield tied to the key rate of the Central Bank (floaters) in the first month of placement of the issue exceeded 8 billion rubles, it follows from press release credit organization. The average transaction value was RUB 3 million.
VTB plans to produce floaters with a total volume of 50 billion rubles. with a nominal value of 1 thousand rubles. for one security. These bonds are available only to qualified investors. VTB believes that against the backdrop of the Central Bank’s base scenario of maintaining rates at an increased level until the end of the year, floater holders will be able to receive additional profitability.
VTB released floaters on September 15. Then the Central Bank raised key rate to 13% due to rising inflation expectations. As VTB noted, since September, investors have fixed the coupon yield at 12%. From October the indicator will be variable.
