Sales of pharmacy cosmetics (recommended for the treatment of a number of dermatological diseases and sold mainly in pharmacies) in the first seven months of 2023 amounted to 84.2 million packages, calculated by the analytical company DSM Group. According to her, this is the lowest figure in at least the last six years. For comparison: in January-July 2022, 89.4 million units were sold in pharmacies. of such products, and the year before last – 98.2 million units. The negative dynamics is also confirmed by representatives of the pharmaceutical retailer interviewed by Vedomosti, among them Apteka 25 and Apteka Pharma.
Materials for the production of pharmacy cosmetics are purchased mainly abroad, says Nikolai Bespalov, RNC Pharma Development Director. Since last year, due to problems with logistics, such products began to rise in price, adds Sergey Shulyak, CEO of DSM Group. Mikhail Burmistrov, General Director of Infoline-analytics, also speaks about this. According to him, since 2022, the cost of pharmacy cosmetics has increased by an average of 25-30%. This is confirmed by the DSM Group data.
