According to the liters service, which was reviewed by Kommersant, in the segment of non-fiction works about political leaders, since the beginning of the year there has been a 29% increase in sales compared to the same period last year.
The most popular work in terms of the number of electronic copies and audio books sold was “The End of the Regime. How three European dictatorships ended” by Russian journalist and publicist Alexander Baunov. In it, the author tells how the last three dictatorships of Western Europe tried to prolong their existence and ended it – the regimes of Franco in Spain, Salazar in Portugal and the “black colonels” in Greece. In second place is the work “Crisis and Power. Volume I. Stairway to Heaven” by Mikhail Khazin and Sergei Shcheglov. The top 3 is completed by the audio version of the rating leader.
The list of the five best-selling books in the category also included the audiobook “Stalin. Life and Death” by Edward Radzinsky and the continuation of “Stairway to Heaven” – “Crisis and Power. Volume II. People of Power. Dialogues about great overlords and power groups.”
