Sales of new buildings in Moscow in 2023 set a record – Kommersant

In 2023, 115.6 thousand agreements for participation in shared housing construction (DDU) were registered in the capital, which is an absolute record for the last 15 years. Maria Makarova, Deputy Head of Rosreestr for Moscow, spoke about this at the conference “Development of a new wave”, organized by the Kommersant Publishing House. According to her data, this figure is 36% more than in 2022, when 85 thousand DDUs were concluded.
Taking into account non-residential real estate, about 166 thousand transactions were registered – 36% more than the 2022 result. At the same time, 59% of the total number of childcare centers were registered using credit funds.
Sales grew the most over the year in New Moscow. The top three also included the Northern and Western administrative districts.
Let us remind you that at the beginning of January the company “Best new building” reported that the average cost of an apartment in a new building in Moscow for the first time exceeded 30 million rubles. Increase in the average price of 1 sq. m of housing under construction in the capital for the year amounted to 22%, in monetary terms this figure reached 513.3 thousand rubles. At the same time, the weighted average price of 1 sq. m in new comfort class buildings in Moscow in December amounted to 335.8 thousand rubles, in business class – 477 thousand rubles, in new premium class buildings – 914.9 thousand rubles, in elite ones – 2.341 million rubles.
