Sales of Kissinger’s books in “Litres” increased threefold, in “Read City” – twofold

In Russia, the number of buyers of books by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who died on November 29, is growing, reported the Liters book service and the Read City chain of stores. TASS. The day after his death, sales of paper books increased by 2 times, digital books by 3.4 times.

Liters reported that interest in the diplomat’s books has been growing for two years now. In 2022, sales increased 2.3 times compared to 2021, in January–November 2023 – by 22% compared to the same period last year. The most popular book was “World Order” in audio format. It is one of the top 10 best-selling books in the political science genre. In second place is the electronic version of the same book, and in third place is Diplomacy.

In “Read City”, two days after the death of the politician, the books “About China”, “Crisis” and “Artificial Intelligence and the New Era of Humanity” were included in the “Best Sellers” section.

Henry Kissinger died at the age of 100 at his home in Connecticut. He served as US Secretary of State under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. Henry Kissinger, one of the authors of the American doctrine of flexible response, advocated détente between the West and the East during the Cold War and the establishment of control over nuclear arms.
