Ryanair promised to return to Ukraine after the end of the conflict

Irish airline Ryanair is preparing to return to Ukraine after the end of the conflict, said Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary. In this regard, the company hires “quite a lot” of Ukrainian pilots and flight attendants.
“We are very committed to returning to Ukraine as soon as it is safe to do so,” Mr. O’Leary said (quoted by Reuters). The chief executive told analysts this after the release of Ryanair’s third-quarter financial results.
Ryanair started to work in Ukraine in 2018, after the start of the military operation, the company suspended flights to and from Ukraine.
According to financial statements, the number of Ryanair passengers increased by almost a quarter to 38.4 million, up 7% compared to the end of 2019, a period shortly before the start of the pandemic.
