The share of those who spend more than 20 thousand rubles on food. in 2023 increased from 27% to 34%.

According to Forbes, the NAFI analytical center surveyed 1.6 thousand people over the age of 18 from all regions of Russia. It is stated that the statistical error of the data does not exceed 2.45%.

In recent years, Russians’ spending on food has increased in line with inflation, Ms. Kuznetsova noted. According to her, against the backdrop of socio-economic turbulence, Russian citizens are increasingly seeking to save money and choose a store with the best pricing policy.
