Russian airlines will be able to operate 284 flights to Georgia weekly

Rosaviatsiya satisfied a request from a number of Russian airlines to operate up to 284 flights per week to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi. Most of the flights will be operated by Red Wings, Yamal, Rossiya and Azimuth.

The following flights are expected:

— from Vladikavkaz in the direction of Tbilisi and Batumi (7 flights per week);

— from Yekaterinburg in the direction of Tbilisi and Kutaisi (7 times a week);

— from the Moscow airport Zhukovsky in the direction of Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi (7 times a week);

— from Kazan in the direction of Batumi and Kutaisi (7 times a week);

– from Makhachkala to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi (7 times a week);

– from Mineralnye Vody to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi (7 times a week);

– from Nizhny Novgorod to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi (7 times a week);

— from Perm to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi (7 times a week);

— from Rostov-on-Don to Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi (7 times a week);

— from Tyumen to Tbilisi and Kutaisi (7 times a week);

— from Ufa to Tbilisi and Kutaisi (7 times a week);

– from Chelyabinsk to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi (7 times a week);

– from Sochi to Tbilisi (7 times a week).

It is noteworthy that the airports of Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar are now closed due to the Russian military operation in Ukraine. Thus, the permission of the Federal Air Transport Agency applies to the future, when these airports resume work. Now regular flights between Russia and Georgia are operated by two airlines: the Russian Azimuth (Moscow-Tbilisi-Moscow daily) and the Georgian Airzena Georgian Airways (Moscow-Tbilisi-Moscow daily).

The Georgian aviation authorities have not yet commented on the news about the decision of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

Direct flights between Russia and Georgia resumed from May 15, according to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
