The Ministry of Transport reported that Russian airlines are already preparing to resume flights to Georgia. According to the agency, the carriers will carry out 7 direct flights from Moscow to Tbilisi and back every week. From what date is not specified. Today, May 20, President Vladimir Putin lifted the ban on flights of Russian airlines to Georgia, which has been in effect since 2019, and the Russian Foreign Ministry has canceled the recommendation to Russians to refrain from traveling to Georgia. In addition, Mr Putin canceled visa regime for citizens of Georgia from May 15. A visa will be required only from citizens of Georgia who enter Russia for the purpose of work or study for a period of more than three months.
