Russia has reduced seaborne oil exports after a fire in the port of Ust-Luga – Kommersant

Russia last week reduced seaborne supplies of crude oil by 250 thousand barrels per day, calculated Bloomberg. In total, Russia exported 3.09 million barrels of oil per day last week. The reason for the reduction in export volume, as the agency writes, was severe frosts and repair work in the port of Ust-Luga.
From Bloomberg calculations as of January 28, it follows that the weekly indicator of seaborne exports of Russian oil decreased by 120 thousand barrels per day. The average cost of oil exported from Russia, according to agency estimates, last week reached a five-month low of $1.32 billion. Over four weeks, Russia’s income from oil supplies decreased by $102 million, reaching a six-month low of $1.41 billion per week.
Bloomberg writes that the decline in exports was due to severe frosts and storms in the Primorsky Territory, as well as four-day repair work at the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region. The agency writes that loading at the port was suspended due to a Ukrainian drone attack on a nearby processing plant.
The fact that the port of Ust-Luga, where the NOVATEK complex for fractionation and transshipment of stable gas condensate is located, was attacked by drones on January 21 wrote “Fontanka”. The company said the fire started as a result of “external influence.” The Ministry of Defense did not report a drone attack in the Leningrad region.
