The airline performed a flight on the route Yangon-Mandalay-Novosibirsk. “The start of flights will create additional opportunities for Russian tourists who prefer holidays in Southeast Asia. It will also contribute to the development of business contacts,” the Federal Air Transport Agency noted. Flights will operate twice a week.
The Federal Air Transport Agency issued Myanmar Airways International permission to fly on this route at the end of August. Myanmar has become the 38th country with which Russia has direct flights. From July this year to June 2024, Russians who arrived in Myanmar for tourism or business purposes, may stay in this country for up to 30 days.
