Russia and Kazakhstan will expand air communication between the countries

Russia and Kazakhstan agreed to expand the geography and frequency of flights between the countries. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Transport of Russia dated April 24 following the meeting of the subcommittee on transport of the intergovernmental commission of the two states.
“Thanks to the previously adopted joint decisions, in 2022 the number of passengers transported by air between Russia and Kazakhstan increased by 2 times, while in the first two months of 2023 the growth was 58.5%,” Russian Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev was quoted as saying by the press department service. The Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency did not specify how many passengers were transported between the countries during the specified period. The departments also did not disclose the parameters of the intergovernmental agreement between the aviation authorities of the countries.
