Russia and China signed an agreement on cooperation on gas supplies via the Far East route

An intergovernmental agreement on gas supplies from Russia to China was signed by the parties. As follows from draft law, prepared by the Ministry of Energy for ratification, Moscow and Beijing agreed on a decision on January 31. The day before reported about the preparation of the document.
The agreement regulates the construction and operation of a gas pipeline across the Ussuri River near the cities of Dalnerechensk in Russia and Hulin in China. Gazprom will be the only company that will be able to supply gas through the pipeline. In China, it will be serviced by China National Pipeline Corporation.
In 2022 Russia put via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to China 15.5 billion cubic meters m of gas, which was a record, said Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Gazprom reports regularly about new records of daily gas supplies in this direction.
