Rusnano warned about the risk of insolvency – Kommersant

The Russian company Rusnano warned about the impossibility of fulfilling debt obligations using its own funds. According to the company, it is highly likely that it will experience signs of bankruptcy if the authorities do not decide to provide liquidity to fulfill obligations to creditors. This is stated in the Rusnano report, excerpts from which are given by Interfax.

“Taking into account the size of accounts payable in the form of loans and bond issues subject to repayment by the end of 2023, it is objectively impossible for Rusnano JSC to fulfill its debt obligations in full solely at the expense of its own funds,” the document says.

The report states that at the end of the first half of 2023, the volume of claims of Rusnano creditors (excluding interest on loans and accumulated coupon income on bonds) “significantly exceeds the value of assets.”

At the end of June, Rusnano’s net debt amounted to 95.56 billion rubles. against 90.85 billion rubles. for the beginning of the year. At the same time, in December, Rusnano needs to repay the issue of exchange-traded bonds in the amount of 10 billion rubles.

Last October the newspaper “Vedomosti” citing three federal officials and an interlocutor close to the company, she reported that the government was discussing the dissolution of Rusnano. According to the newspaper’s sources, the problems of the Rusnano Institute worsened after the introduction of sanctions, which is why the state-owned company almost lost the ability to independently pay its obligations.

In December last year, the Arbitration Court of the Novosibirsk Region admitted Liotech-Innovations LLC, managed by Rusnano’s subsidiary, is bankrupt. The company entered into bankruptcy proceedings.
