Roszdravnadzor recalled changes in the rules for the sale of medicines from September 1

From September 1, pharmacies, when selling some prescription drugs, will have to provide prescription details to the monitoring system. This rule does not apply to all drugs, explained the press service of Roszdravnadzor. It applies to cases of withdrawal from circulation of drugs subject to registration, subsidized drugs dispensed with full or partial compensation of the price by the state, as well as drugs dispensed remotely.

“According to the revised norm, when dispensing drugs by prescription, a pharmacy is required to provide the details of a prescription for a drug (date, number and series) to the monitoring system,” the department said (quoted by RIA Novosti). This is required by a government decree of March 24, which requires pharmacies to enter prescription data into the monitoring system.

According to the document, from September 1, prescription drugs, which are now 70% on the market, will be dispensed according to a new form – on a letterhead with a number and a seal. Rules for the sale of drugs in pharmacies have changed from March 2022.

Since that time, doctors, when issuing prescriptions to patients, must indicate the validity of the document and the degree of its urgency, while pharmacies will not dispense expired prescription drugs. The order of the Ministry of Health will be valid until March 1, 2028.

At the end of 2022, the number of drugs sold in pharmacies decreased by 1.9 thousand positions, to 21.6 thousand units, follows from the DSM Group report. At the same time, drug sales in pharmacies grew by 15% to RUB 1.67 trillion. year by year.
