Rostelecom intends to pay a security payment for windfall tax in the amount of about 700 million rubles by the end of November. This was announced by the first vice-president and financial director of the company, Sergei Anokhin.
“For Rostelecom, the amount (payments.— “Ъ”) will amount to about 700 million rubles. when paying this year, which we will do by the end of November,” Mr. Anokhin told TASS.
President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the excess profits tax in August. The fee from business will be one-time, it applies to companies whose profits for 2021 and 2022 exceeded 1 billion rubles. The tax rate is set at 10% of the excess profit. The rate will be reduced to 5% if the company pays the tax this year.
